No One Knows

Some people think they know top leadership. The professors think that they do. They go to their textbooks and bone up on a few paragraphs about it so they can tell their students what top leadership is.

STAY LOOSE as a top leadership stance goes is about the summation of what it really is. But who knows what it is. Have you ever seen a top leader and wondered how he got there. I’ll tell you how he got there. He applied for the job.

If you wanna be a top leader go to Google and Google leader jobs and start applying for them and when they ask you what makes you think you’re a top leader just tell them you’re a natural at it. I told someone that at a party the other day and the guy didn’t blink. ‘Didn’t bat an eye. ‘Like he could have at least said you’re nuts. But he didn’t. He figured I was a true top leader. And that’s exactly right. ‘Although no one is asking me to lead these days.

i'd say that a true leader would make his own job. applying for a job is inherently subservient and not very leadershippy.
